Christmas is here! Some of you may or may not
celebrate Christmas. For our family Christmas is one of our
favorite holidays. (Well, used to be my daughters but now she
says Halloween is her favorite, then Christmas is 2nd.)
Christmas has a very special meaning to me. It's where I celebrate the
birth of Jesus Christ, our savior, son of God, God in the flesh. Not a
single one of us deserve what he went through while on this earth, but he did
it because he loves you!! His grace and love are amazing! No one, and I
mean no one loves you more than he does. Here are a few Christmas Bible verses KJV to inspire you:
John 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Isaiah 9:6
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Luke 2:10
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
Luke 2:11
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
Matthew 1:21
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Most of us have our family traditions. If you don't, I hope you can start one
this year! Christmas is the time we like to spend with family. Our
Christmas traditions start on Thanksgiving when we help my parents put up their
tree and then they come over that weekend to help us. It's always fun
going through the ornaments and remembering the different years. I think
family is very important. It's a shame how in today's busy world, it
seems the time for family gets less and less and many don't understand how
important family is and should be. Some never get that chance to realize
how important it is. Don't let that be you. Call a family member
today that you haven't talked to in years or send them a card
! Friends are very important but family and
God are forever!
Who loves Christmas movies? I do! We love (especially my mom and I)
to watch Christmas movies. I typically start watching them in mid
November. My daughter teases me about it, but then she's ready for them
typically around the week of Christmas. I have a lot of favorite
Christmas movies, but my favorite two would have to be National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, and Home Alone. My daughters favorite movie is
the Christmas Story ("You're going to shoot your
eye out kid!"). When it comes to the more emotional Christmas
movies, I like
Christmas Shoes, and Christmas Card. For the animated cartoon
Christmas shows, my favorite is Garfield's Christmas!! I love Garfield.
Next would have to go to Rudolph and then Frosty! There's just something about
Christmas movies that can make this stressful time of year more fun! If
you're having a bad day or stressing over something, read some verses out of
the bible or watch a funny Christmas movie! After all, have you had a
Christmas celebration that turned out like the Griswolds? Can you image
their home repair bill!!
Regardless of how you celebrate Christmas or the Holidays, our family would
like to wish you and your family a Very Merry Christmas and Happy
Holidays! If you don't have family, find a friend or enjoy some quiet
time to relax and celebrate the birth of our Christ!
Feel free to comment your favorite traditions or movies.
